How to Register

• Register online through February 25th.
• At FootWorks through noon on February 26th, 2010
• Race Site the day of the race starting at 4:00pm
• Mail in the completed printable application

• 7:15pm 8k Run/ 5k Walk Starts

 

The Course

Starts on 8th Street and SE 1 Ave, course takes you up and back on historic Calle Ocho finishing on SE 1 Ave. Water stations located throughout the course

Race T-Shirt

Commemorative race shirt given to all participants

Post Race Party

Keep e-ner-gi-zing!
After the race, a street dance of Latin music & conga lines
Entry fee includes all you eat & drink
Fruit, water, and "arroz con pollo" dinner

Age Groups

8k Run: (Male/Female) - 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+.
Overall male and female winners and top three in each age group will receive awards.
5k Run/Fitness Walk: No awards given however each participant will receive an official time!

Publix's Plato Kiddie Dash

A non-competitive event beginning at 6:45pm - starts and finishes at the Finish Line. Age groups: 2 & Under, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10. Distances based on age group and are between 100 and 800 feet. Medals to all finishers, everyone is a winner.

Packet Pickup

You may pick up your packet at FootWorks, 5724 Sunset Drive, South Miami. Friday, February 19 through Thursday, Feb 25 from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Friday February 26 at FootWorks (9:00am to 12:00pm) or at race site beginning at 4:00pm.

Directions to the Race:

From the north: I-95 south to SW 7 St. exit. Continue south to SW 8 St. Left on 8 St. to race site.

From the south: US1 north to SW 8 St., and go east to race site.

Metro-Rail: Take Metro-rail to Brickell Station - take people mover to SW 8th St Station.

Free Parking

Free Race Parking available at 800 Brickell (entrance on SE First Ave), and Eastern National Bank Building, 799 Brickell Plaza (entrance on SE 7 St)

Refunds, Exchanges, and Transfer Policy

Absolutely no refunds, exchanges, or transfers.

Cancelation Policy

Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to events out of Management's control such as a natural disaster or other emergencies. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. Management may also alter the course and distances for the safety of the athletes.
